CLEMSON -- The contact period rages on, meaning members of the Clemson coaching staff are still out on the road in full force.
The period runs through the first of February with a dead period being in effect from February 3 until March 2.
On Thursday, Matt Luke was Prosper, Texas, visiting with 4-star OL Zaden Krempin. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound prospect has more than 40 offers including Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State. Clemson has yet to offer.
"Today went really, really good," Krempin told The Clemson Insider. "I enjoyed learning a lot about Clemson.
This is a recruitment Clemson is just getting started with, but after speaking with Krempin, it's one they can absolutely win. About two weeks ago, Krempin told the recruiting coordinator at his high school, he'd love to learn more about the program and meet the offensive line coach. Fast forward to a couple of days ago and he received a text from Luke telling him he was jumping on a plane to come visit.
Luke had lunch with Krempin and his parents and they came away so impressed that Krempin now plans to attend the Elite Retreat the weekend of March 8. It will be his first time on campus so it's a safe bet that he leaves with an offer in tow.
Rivals ranks the 6-foot-5, 275-pound recruit No. 140 overall and No. 15 among all 2026 tackle prospects. He also ranks No. 16 in the state of Texas.
Head coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator Garrett Riley were out in Arizona on Thursday checking in on 4-star QB commit Tait Reynolds. Obviously, Riley is back out on the road. Swinney previously mentioned the possibility of assistant QB coach Tajh Boyd going out in his place.
Reynolds has been committed to Clemson since July after nabbing an offer from the Tigers after an impressive showing at camp a month earlier.
After a stellar junior campaign, Reynolds was tabbed as the Player of the Year in the state of Arizona by the Arizona Cardinals. He completed 62% of his passes for 2,238 yards with 22 touchdowns to just five interceptions. He added another 1,426 yards via his legs with 19 touchdown runs. Reynolds averaged more than 100 rushing yards per game.
4-star safety target Kaiden Hall (Milton, GA) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to visit for the Elite Retreat on March 8. Hall originally planned to visit campus on February 1, but with the date of the Elite Retreat getting pushed back, he is now able to attend.
Hall was at Florida State last weekend and will be in Oklahoma on Saturday. He also plans to visit Alabama on March 22.
Hall picked up an offer from the Tigers back in November while on an unofficial visit for the Louisville game. He has since released a Top 10 consisting of Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia, Oklahoma, Michigan, Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, and Clemson.
On3 ranks Hall No. 24 overall in the 2026 class, No. 2 among all safeties and No. 3 in the state of Florida.
