A man who assaulted a stranger outside a pharmacy also threatened another person with a claw hammer in a separate incident.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that Paul Rose (47) was being a nuisance to customers at Culloden Pharmacy, Keppoch Road on August 17, 2023 before being asked to leave by staff.
He then approached a woman in her car in the pharmacy car park before a man asked him what he was doing.
Rose then repeatedly pushed the man on the body before taking off for the Co-op next door.
Staff from the pharmacy went to advise staff there of Rose's behaviour.
When he was refused service after trying to purchase cigarettes he threatened to slap the staff member on the face.

In a separate incident on May 19 last year two people were walking past Rose's house on Rowan Road, Inverness when he shouted and swore at them.
He then took hold of a claw hammer and came to the fence and made further comments.
Fiscal depute David Morton told Sheriff Gary Aitken: "The complainer ran off and contacted the police.
"Rose had returned to cutting his grass and became resistant when police arrived. He was then arrested."
Rose pleaded guilty to assault and two counts of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and was ordered to carry out 300 hours of community service over two years.
Defence solicitor Clare Russell said: "He has previously presented as bedraggled but is now back on the wagon.
"He was under the influence of alcohol when these incidents took place."
Sheriff Aitken told him: "You seem to have got yourself back on the wagon. That is no doubt in everyone's best interest."
