The Georgia Show: Can the Dawgs take down Texas down again?

The good news for Georgia is that there was no new or surprising news when it came to the availability report this week, with the Dawgs getting no unexpected scratches in this one. Texas, meanwhile, looks to be at full strength, minus the defection of Jerrick Gibson. Does anyone on the list shape our view as to how this one will shake itself out? We break it all down.

It's a new look Georgia team this go round, and the same is true for Texas. While the Dawgs managed to own the two games last year, it's not necessarily apples to apples when it comes to this year, and we're looking at how the 2025 editions of each squad stacks up. Georgia looks to be better in several areas, but we're not so sure that's the case for the Longhorns. We're looking hard at the secondary for Texas and the wideouts comparatively, but also, this feels like an improved Georgia offensive line comparatively. What about the quarterback situation? That'll factor into this on in a major way.

There's much consternation around the linebackers for the Longhorns in this one, with Colin Simmons and Anthony Hill being top performers, but the Dawgs look poised to match that energy with the likes of CJ Allen and Raylen Wilson in this one. What about the matchups with the secondary and the Texas pass catchers? We're both on the side of appreciating Gunner Stockton in this one, as he's made big plays throughout this season.

The Bulldogs are poised for a challenge this weekend, but how do we feel about their chances in this one? We have our scores and why we see it playing out that way.
