You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. I'm considering pre-ordering the new M4 iMac (the model with 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports). I use a lot of SSD space and rely on having external drives connected. Currently, I'm using a couple of Samsung T7 Shields and a Jeyi 2464PD, all with 4 TB capacity. They are connected via Thunderbolt/USB 4 and the USB-C port on my iMac M1. The Samsung T7 SSD doesn't meet the promised 1 GB/s (I get about 600 MB/s). My Jeyi performs as expected. Will the new Thunderbolt 4 ports perform better, especially regarding USB 3.1 Gen 2 SSDs?
