Nitesh Rane has questioned the authenticity of Saif Ali Khan being stabbed multiple times
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has returned home as healthy as a horse after being kept under observation at the hospital for around five days. While fans were ecstatic to know that he had healed, a section of the netizens grew suspicious of his speedy recovery. Now, Maharashtra's minister for ports and fisheries, who belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitesh Rane publicly questioned the authenticity of Saif being stabbed multiple times, during a rally in Pune on Wednesday evening.

Rane questioning the truth behind the attack has certainly raised many eyebrows, as it raises a question mark on the Mumbai police's version of the attack. For those who don't know, the Mumbai Police is under Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also belongs to the same party as Nitesh Rane. Talking about the incident, the son of former CM Narayan Rane mentioned that Bangladeshis, who earlier used to "stand at the intersections of the roads," have started entering houses. He went on to add that they may have entered the actor's house to "take him away."

"It is good garbage should be taken away," the Free Press Journal quoted him. Opening up about videos of Saif walking out of the hospital, completely healthy, he questioned if the entire ordeal was an act. The media publication quoted him saying, "When he came out of the hospital, I also saw and I doubted whether he was really stabbed or not. The way he came out walking it was as if he was acting and dancing, it all looks suspicious."

The 42-year-old cabinet minister pointed out that "people immediately start speaking" when actors like Shah Rukh Khan or Saif Ali Khan are hurt, but don't say anything "when a Hindu actor is tortured." He went on to question, "What happened to that Sushant Singh?"

He added, "Jitendra Awhad and Supriya Sule (NCP-SP) did not come forward to say anything, they are only worried about Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son and Nawab Malik. Have you ever seen them worry about any Hindu artiste? You (media) people should pay attention to all these things."

For the unversed, questions about if Saif Ali Khan was really stabbed have been continually raised by the netizens after the paparazzi shared videos of him reaching his residence in Bandra after his discharge and waving at the worried fans. The Mumbai Police has been maintaining that the actor was indeed stabbed and even arrested a Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam, who allegedly broke into the actor's house to steal money so that he could pay for his ailing mother's treatment.
The 54-year-old actor underwent a six-hour-long surgery at the Lilavati Hospital, Bandra, where the doctors removed a 2.5 inch piece of the knife, which was stuck near his spine. The attack happened during the wee hours of January 16th, 2025.
