A Next-Gen Robotic Olaf Is Coming to Disneyland's World of Frozen

The figure will arrive at Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland in early 2026

Disney has unveiled an exciting, next-generation robotic figure of Olaf, the beloved snowman from Frozen. This advanced figure is capable of walking, talking, and even directly interacting with guests.

To achieve a movie-accurate portrayal, the Imagineering team utilized reinforcement learning, a form of artificial intelligence. This technology allowed the robot to quickly master walking and perform graceful motions for guests.

The team also highlighted that Olaf is made of "snow," a material softer than the hard shells of previous robotic characters. This softer composition enables full articulation of Olaf's mouth and eyes, as well as a removable carrot nose and arms, allowing for fun and memorable interaction. Furthermore, the figure will be able to speak and engage in conversations, with expressive, fully moving eyes, enhancing his believability.
