More than 270 festive food parcels have been delivered to elderly residents in Hullbridge thanks to a long-standing community initiative.
Hullbridge Parish Council, supported by the local Co-op, packed and distributed the Christmas parcels to residents aged over 80 as part of its annual seasonal effort.
The initiative aims to bring joy and support to older members of the community during the festive period.
The council expressed its thanks to the Co-op for its financial contribution and assistance in sourcing supplies, as well as to Stork UK for donating confectionery for the parcels.
A spokesman for Hullbridge Parish Council said: "This long-standing Parish Council initiative is something we are proud to continue each year.
"We are very grateful to the Co-op for their kind financial contribution towards the parcels and ordering the stock."
