FBI Seizes $40M in Motorcycles Tied to Fugitive Ex-Olympian

Wedding, 44, competed for Canada at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games before his first serious run-in with the law: a 2009 conviction for conspiracy to distribute cocaine. He was released from prison in late 2010. Prosecutors now allege that he went on to build a trafficking network that moved hundreds of kilos of cocaine from Colombia, via Mexico and Southern California, into Canada and other parts of the United States. Indicted on multiple drug charges in October 2024, Wedding is still a fugitive and is believed to be in Mexico.

The FBI has placed him on its "Ten Most Wanted" list, compared him to figures like Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman and Pablo Escobar, and is offering up to $15 million for information that leads to his arrest and conviction. Agents say he should be considered armed and dangerous and accuse him not only of trafficking but also of ordering several killings, including the January murder of a federal witness. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI via WhatsApp, Signal, or Telegram at 424-495-0614, reach out to a local FBI office or US Embassy, or submit information at tips.fbi.gov. An attorney tied to Wedding has also found himself in hot water, per the AP. More on Wedding here.
