7 Questions: Sherlock Holmes edition

Wyatt Barczak is a News Clerk for The Post and Courier. He graduated from the College of Charleston. He contributes to The Post and Courier's arts and entertainment section, Charleston Scene.

Today is Sherlock Holmes Day, in honor of the hawk-nosed sleuth himself, as well as author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's birthday. His short detective thrillers have proven a beloved contribution to literature.

Last year on a trip to London, I visited the Sherlock Holmes Museum, which was filled with amazing references to the original stories, donated props from stage and film performances and a pleasant gift shop. They have a statue of the character by sculptor John Doubleday down the street too, though his first official Holmes statue was actually revealed near an important landmark in Switzerland (true Holmesian fans know where).

So, toss on your detective caps and prepare for some Sherlock Holmes-inspired trivia. The game is afoot!
