The Council for Shariah in Nigeria(SCSN), has called for special prayers on the threat issued by the United States President, Donald Trump, on Nigeria over claims of Christian Genocide in the country.
A statement signed by the Council's Nafi'u Baba-Ahmad, said the prayers should be initiated form of Qunut in Jummu'ah and five daily prayers as well as in all Islamiyyah and Tsangaya Schools across the nation.
While praying for Allah to see Nigeria through the situation, the statement said the Council (SCSN) strongly believes that the U.S. designation of Nigeria as a "Country of Particular Concern" is unfounded and unjust, and must be addressed through strategic diplomacy, factual engagement, and unified national action.
The council further calls for calm, unity, and wisdom among Nigerians.
"Rather than fueling division, this moment should strengthen the resolve of all citizens to defend the truth, promote justice, and preserve Nigeria's dignity in the international arena."
