Firefighters worked Saturday evening to put out flames in a single-family home in rural Aguanga but the home was destroyed.
The fire was reported at 5:47 p.m. Saturday in the 52100 block of Martindale Drive, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Flames were showing on the roof when firefighters arrived, fire officials said.
The flames were out at 8:01 p.m., but fire officials said the structure was destroyed. Firefighters expected to remain at the scene for two more hours to make sure all embers were out.
