The Outer Worlds 2 managed to keep me interested even more than the original, which is saying something, since that adventure was still super satisfying. Now you're thrust back into the world once again, but this time, in a different star system.
In the game's opening hours, you'll be asked to enter the Vox Relay Station to complete a main story mission, but there's something to keep in mind. You need to take down (or sneak past) a base of enemies first, and lower a bridge so you can actually get to the relay.
The Bridge Is North Of Fairfield
Head Out Of The Town
To get to the bridge, all you need to do is head north of Fairfield along the road until you get to the Bridge Of The Reverent. This is a compound that's crawling with enemy Protectorate soldiers, and in higher difficulties, they can shred your party very quickly if you aren't careful.
The best way to get into the Bridge Of The Reverent area is to head to the irradiated trench on the south side of the perimeter. Look for a small opening with red lights and crawl inside. This is a secret entrance to the base, allowing you to sneak through and lower the bridge yourself, or get a better jump on the Protectorate.
You Can Bypass The Bridge If You Want
If you don't want to bother with raising the bridge properly, you can also sneak under it. Look for a ladder on the northeast portion of the bridge control center. It's outside, and facing the mountainside. Take the ladder to walk under the bridge on a small pathway to the other side.
How To Access The Armory In Bridge Of The Reverent
If you want to access the armory, you'll need to either pick the lock, blow the door with explosives, or simply find a keycard. One is located conveniently on the north side of the compound, in a control room. Grab the keycard, head back to the southern portion of the area, and enter the armory door, near where you snuck in from the trench.
The Bridge Control Is On The Top Floor
Pull The Switch And Run Over The Bridge
One of the easiest ways to get into the control room is to take the stairs up after you enter the small bar-like area with a counter after the secret entrance. Alternatively, you can also mantle over the turret near the base entrance. This will allow you to access the room that you need immediately.
Enter the room, look for the small terminal with a handle, and interact with it to drop the bridge. If it isn't active, you need to sneak around and steal a key from a Protectorate. You can do this stealthily from the shadows, or take them out one by one to locate and take the key from a corpse.
Once you have the bridge down, you're one step closer to finishing the main campaign of The Outer Worlds 2. It's onto the Vox Relay from there, so be sure to take some companions with you.
