A man has died following an 'altercation' at a property on Saturday evening after emergency services battled to save his life.
Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to an altercation at an address in Oldham following an 'altercation'. Officers and paramedics treated a 55-year-old man at the property on Plumpton Close, in Royton, at around 7.50pm on Saturday.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A 59-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning this morning (Monday).
