The seasonal celebrations kick off Thursday with A Miss Emily Christmas at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. The concert was originally scheduled for Dec. 5, but it was postponed after Miss Emily woke up Dec. 4 unable to speak, let alone sing.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and there were still a few tickets ($63 and $72) available at press time.
The Isabel will then host the Good Lovelies the following evening as they return with their holiday show. The concert gets underway at 8 p.m. and tickets are $50 apiece. There were still some seats left at press time.
Friday is also the first three concerts at the Spire by Cantabile Choirs of Kingston. A mix of traditional carols and festive music from around the world, "Holiday Magic" takes place Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30, and Sunday at 2:30. All three performances are now sold out.
