Fort Smith police report flash flooding late Sunday night

Fort Smith police reported several areas flash flooded late Sunday night.At 11:55 p.m. Sunday, police said they had reports of flash flooding across town. In a release, police said to be aware of the following areas. Wheeler Ave. from South E St. to South Y St.Towson Ave. at Louisville St. Midland Blvd. at North 32 St.5900 Kinkead Ave.South 10 St. and South B st. Police were also reminding people of common flood spots. These intersections and roads are prone to flash flooding. Police said not to drive in floodwaters and to avoid barricaded areas. Highway 271 and Texas Rd. Highway 71 and Riley Park Drive Brooken Hill Dr. and Willow Brook Cir. South 16th St. and Rogers Ave. Highway 271 and Hillside Dr. North D St. and North 10th St. North G St. and North 9th St. Jenny Lind Rd. Knoxville St. North H St. and North 10th St. South 91st St. and Houston St. North 16th St. and North H St. North 16th St. and Grand Ave. North 10th St. and North B St. North 9th St. and North E St. North O St. and North Greenwood Ave. South 25th St. and Dodson Ave. Towson Ave. and South O St. Towson Ave. and Phoenix Ave. Northbound lanes on Towson Ave. between Phoenix Ave. and Fresno St. Country Club Ave. and Old Greenwood Rd. Highway 45 between Planters Rd. and Burrough Rd.
