Katowice Wojciech Korfanty International Airport is gearing up for a remarkable winter season, as it launches its "Winter 2025/2026" flight schedule on 26 October 2025. The airport is set to offer an impressive 75 routes to 66 airports across 39 countries, with the season running until 28 March 2026. This expansion signals a major boost for both travelers and the local tourism sector.

This winter, Katowice Airport is introducing six exciting new routes, which include both regular and charter flights. Wizz Air will be adding three new scheduled destinations to the roster: Porto, Billund, and Agadir. Additionally, the airport will see the arrival of three new charter routes, with travel agencies offering flights to Aqaba (Jordan), Cartagena (Colombia), and Kayseri (Turkey).

The new flight schedule features a solid mix of carriers, including Wizz Air, Ryanair, LOT Polish Airlines, and Air Dolomiti/Lufthansa. Together, these airlines will operate 40 regular routes to 35 airports across 20 countries. Travelers can look forward to convenient connections to some of Europe's most popular destinations, such as Italy, Spain, and the UK.

Italy, Spain, and the UK remain top travel destinations from Katowice, with Italy boasting eight routes, Spain seven, and the UK three. For those seeking new travel opportunities, Wizz Air's new regular connections to Billund, Agadir, and Porto will add fresh options to the winter schedule. LOT Polish Airlines will continue to provide essential domestic flights to Warsaw, maintaining a vital connection between the regions.

The winter season will also bring a robust offering of charter flights. With 35 charter routes to 24 countries, travelers will have access to even more destinations. Popular vacation spots such as Spain and Egypt will feature prominently, with five Spanish cities and three Egyptian locations available for travelers seeking sun and leisure. These charters provide a flexible and appealing option for travelers looking to escape the winter chill.

Katowice's winter flight schedule also includes nine long-haul routes, which will be serviced by wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A330 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. These long-haul flights will connect Katowice with a range of sought-after destinations, including the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, Thailand, Venezuela, and Vietnam. A brand-new long-haul destination, Cartagena (Colombia), will also be introduced this season, expanding the airport's reach to South America.

With the launch of this comprehensive flight schedule, Katowice Airport is poised to experience a record number of passengers during the winter season. The airport anticipates hosting 1.9 million travelers, marking its busiest winter season to date. Following the success of 2024, where it welcomed 6.39 million passengers, Katowice is on track to surpass 7 million passengers in 2025. This steady growth cements the airport's status as Poland's leading regional hub, particularly for charter flights, and further strengthens its position in the competitive regional airport market.
