PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly that his government has fulfilled its 2021 promise to usher in an era of peaceful development for Armenia and the region, Armenpress reports.
"We have fulfilled our greatest mission -- the 2021 promise to open an era of peaceful development for the country and the region. These people (referring to the parliamentary opposition) say this is not peace. Then what is peace? Armenia lacks the knowledge and experience to recognize peace, and we are the ones defining it," said Pashinyan.
"Peace means that for 1 year and 8 months no soldier has been killed due to crossfire on Armenia's borders. In border villages, residents have not heard gunfire for 3 months. For the first time in over 30 years, a train entered Armenia through Azerbaijan, carrying wheat. Some of it will become bread, some will feed chickens -- will our children not eat those eggs and that meat? Some will go to pigs -- isn't your leader eating pork, or does he not eat pork at all?"
The Prime Minister also cited the village of Kirants, where 55 houses are currently under construction, as an example of peace and the "Real Armenia."
