Two in a row Meath hurling champions Ratoath bidding to add Leinster title

Kilkenny opposition are about as tough as it gets - but manager Dermody has full confidence in his players..

Ratoath will be aiming to become only the second ever Meath club to win a Leinster Intermediate Hurling title, when they take on Danesfort of Kilkenny in Sunday's decider at Pairc Tailteann (1.30pm)..

The Jubilee Cup winners have continued where they left off within the County, by accounting for both Carnew Emmets of Wicklow and Lusmagh of Offaly in the quarter and semi finals - both away from home.

Kilmessan are the only previous Meath club to have won the Provincial title, back in 2008.

Westmeath native Andy Dermody, whose in his first season in charge of Ratoath, is optimistic about his team's chances, and feels their performance the last day against Lusmagh in particular, augers well..
