Long NFL seasons and constant public attention can test even the most stable relationships. But star model and social media influencer Rachel Bush says she and the Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer have found joy in keeping things simple with one powerful task.
More than seven years into their relationship, Bush recently shared a glimpse of how the couple continues to stay connected amid the grind of professional football.

Instead of grand gestures, Bush emphasized small moments that bring the family together. Bush revealed that one of their favorite recent traditions started with a lighthearted gift.
"I got my husband this exotic chocolate advent calendar, and we've had so much fun with it as a family," 28-year-old Bush wrote. "Lol, each day comes with 3-4 pieces. Lea & Jord have to guess what's in each one (ingredient-wise) to win that day."
Poyer, a veteran presence in Buffalo's secondary, has spent years balancing football responsibilities with family life. Bush, a prominent social media figure, has often been open about the realities of being married to an NFL player.
Poyer and Bush were married in 2018, following a relationship that began in 2015 and gradually grew away from the public eye. During an Instagram Q&A session in March 2024, Bush shared more context about how she and Poyer first connected.
Talking about how they met and married in 2018, Rachel said, "I actually found my husband. @ericvdunn_ posted him when we were both going to FAU & I liked what I saw lol," Bush wrote. "Then he DMed me on Twitter after I liked his IG pics, talking about how he knows my IG DMs are too busy & then told me we were getting married 2 days after we met - rest is history."
And lastly, praising Jordan Poyer, Bush once wrote on X in November, "Watches film and studies like he's trying to earn a contract still. One of the first ones in and last ones out every day. He came in here thinking he would be playing a mentor role to close this out, & now he's out there making 15 tackles a game. Proud would be an understatement."
The tough NFL schedule can pull families apart, but Rachel Bush and Jordan Poyer have shown that small and fun moments can make a lasting difference. For Bush and Poyer, keeping their relationship strong is not about doing more. But it is about making the everyday moments count.
