A Canadian tourist was stabbed in the leg in New York City's Bryant Park, and police are still searching for a suspect.
According to reports from WABC, WNBC and amNewYork, the tourist, 44, was visiting the midtown Manhattan park when he bent down to tie his shoe at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30.
The man suddenly felt a pain in his leg, according to the reports, but did not immediately realize he had been stabbed.
He subsequently walked into a store to check his injury and noticed blood running down his leg, per amNewYork.
Police said the man was then rushed to the hospital, where his condition was stable, NBC reported. He is expected to recover.

According to NBC, the man told police that he had been visiting the park's annual Winter Village, a popular tourist destination, and was exiting the park when he was stabbed.
Further, the tourist said he had not seen an attacker, according to amNewYork, which also reported that the attack seems to have been random.
No one has been arrested in connection with the stabbing. ABC reported that it was not yet clear if police had a description of the suspect.
