AN author is staging the launch of his latest book at Keighley Library.
Bradford-born Roshan Pitteea will be at the North Street venue on Monday, December 15, from 5pm to 7pm.
He will talk about - and read from - his new work, The Voodoo Room, a sequel to his acclaimed debut novel Care & Control.
There will also be a question-and-answer session, and Roshan will sign copies of the book.
"Crime fiction fans are invited along for the launch of this gripping new procedural drama," says a library spokesperson.
"Roshan - a detective sergeant and former social worker - will be giving a talk about how he turned his frontline experience into fiction.
"In The Voodoo Room, PC Louis Mortimer - who is new to the child safeguarding team - is pulled into a chilling case where a 'respectable' family hides devastating secrets. Authentic, tense and unflinching, it's a must for fans of British police procedurals.
"The author brings his lived professional insight to every page."
The launch event is free to attend, but people should book a place online at ticketsource.co.uk/bradfordlibraries/t-rzppnpk or by emailing Keighley Library on Keighley.library@bradford.gov.uk
