Hardy's post, which stated "it is now time" for the encounter, has led to intense speculation about a potential cross-promotional clash at WrestleMania 42. The pitch comes immediately after The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) reclaimed the top spot in WWE's tag team division.
In the main event of the December 29 episode of Raw, the brothers defeated AJ Styles and Dragon Lee to capture the World Tag Team Championships, marking their ninth reign as champions. The match concluded in dramatic fashion after The Usos intercepted a Phenomenal Forearm attempt with a double superkick before finishing Dragon Lee with the 1D.
