Bolton Cares hosted its second annual scarecrow festival this week, with fun for everyone at the Jubilee Community Centre.
Care facilities across the borough took part in the festivities, with 24 groups each designing their own scarecrow to be sent into the judging panel and hampers full of goodies for the winners.
Taking the top spot this year was the team at Brazley Community Centre, with their Wizard of Oz-themed creation featuring Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and, of course, Scarecrow.

Rhian Stone, Chief Executive at Bolton Cares, said: "We absolutely love the Scarecrow Festival, and it was fantastic to see the event take place for a second year!
"It's a day filled with fun and laughter, and we're so proud to see so many of the people we support, our colleagues and their friends and families come together to celebrate each other's talents.
"We can't wait to do it all again next year."
Bolton Cares is a local adult social care organisation that offers supported living to adults both in their own homes and in shared properties.

Established in 2016, group now cares for over 1000 people throughout the area, employing over 600 staff.
The company opened the Jubilee Centre and Pool in Halliwell earlier this year - a community hub that hosts events and get-togethers for the whole Bolton Cares team.

This year's entrants were judged by a panel consisting of Bolton Cares non-executive director George Davidson and the group's steering committee, comprised of Bolton Councillors Jackie Schofield, Charlotte Sears, and Sylvia Crossley.

Second place went to the Mornington Road team with their recreation of Carl Fredricksen, lead character from the Pixar movie Up.
Langdon Close took the third spot on the podium with their recreation of a bird-lady.

As well as a scarecrow competition, the festival featured Autumn-themed food and drink, bingo, music, arts and crafts, and a raffle.
