Life coach launches debut book to help others improve their lives

A LOGISTICS manager turned life coach has released her debut book aiming to help others avoid stress and burnout.

Mum-of-one Catherine Earl, known as Caddi, went through some tough times seven years ago, which included leaving a toxic relationship and being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 55-year-old, of Cotebrook, was also struggling with her mental health and anxiety after her own burnout, but her life changed for the better when she enrolled in a coaching programme.

Such was the impact this programme had on her, Caddi trained as coach herself in the hope of helping others with their lives.

Now, after several years as a coach and founding her own coaching business Believe & Achieve, Caddi has published her first self-help book, 'Plan A Sh!t Day', which was an Amazon number one bestseller within days of its release.

She said: "The first lightbulb for most readers is we cannot manage time (we all get the same 24 hours), but we can manage our activities within that time.

"This enables people to take responsibility for their own 24 hours, empowering them to use them in a way that works best for them (at the same time, we can leave the responsibility of someone else's 24 hours with them).

"The book starts with some 'home truths' and basic principles, once we understand those, it becomes easier to manage our activities consistently.

"It will show people that by taking charge of their time and activities, they immediately feel empowered.

"I was totally made up it was a best-seller, as it meant lots of people would be able to improve their life, de-stress and free up their time."

Caddi's book also shares some wisdom on appreciating some of the little things in life, something she herself learned following her diagnosis.

She added: "It was a wake-up call, realising I did not want to leave this earth without having lived a happy, fulfilled and valuable life.

"It was actually one of the best things that could have happened to me. It made me realise life is short.

"I imagined not waking up anymore and immediately that caused me to appreciate every day, every moment.

"I realised how many people I have in my life who love me, and for me to love. It made me appreciate all the 'little' things in life and understand that, actually, the little things are really the big things.

"I started prioritising the things that were important to me, rather than what was important to people who did not have my best interests at heart."
