ESPN's 'College GameDay' coming to U of U Nov. 1

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 26, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) -- University of Utah Athletics announced Sunday that ESPN's "College GameDay Built by The Home Depot" pregame show will air live from Salt Lake City next Saturday morning.

The crew will be in Utah Nov. 1 because the Utes host the Cincinnati Bearcats Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium, with kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. on ESPN.

"College GameDay" will set up on campus at Presidents Circle. The show will run live on ESPN from 7 to 10 a.m. Mountain Time Saturday.

"College GameDay," ESPN's popular pregame show, travels to a different college campus or game site each week of the season, the U of U Athletics statement says.

"Fans interested in attending in person are encouraged to arrive early. More information for fans will be announced in the coming days."

The first College GameDay visit to Salt Lake City was for the Utah-BYU rivalry game in 2004 with a BCS-busting trip to the Fiesta Bowl on the line. The show has also visited in 2010 (vs. TCU), 2015 (vs. California), 2016 (vs. Washington) and 2023 (vs. Oregon).

"Overall, Utah has been part of a College GameDay matchup eight times," the statement says.

"In addition to the five home games, the show visited for the Utah-TCU game in Fort Worth during 2009, as well as both of the Utes' trips to the Rose Bowl Game against Ohio State (2021 season) and Penn State (2022 season)."
