Michigan basketball is scheduled to host a pair of four-stars this weekend, when the football team takes on Central Michigan at The Big House. Branson (Mo.) Link Academy four-star small forward Luca Foster and Boston The Newman School four-star power forward Quinn Costello are expected to be in Ann Arbor. They're both top 50 recruits nationally.
Last weekend, Michigan had five-star small forward Anthony Thompson -- a Lebanon (Ohio) Western Reserve prospect -- on campus. Head coach Dusty May and an assistant coach then followed up in going to see him later in the week.
Former Michigan kicker Jake Moody was waived by the San Francisco 49ers after a tough week one, but he's since been picked up and added to the Chicago Bears practice squad.

He cleared waivers and became an unrestricted free agent before signing with the Chicago Bears on Friday according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
We're unlikely to see Moody kicking for the Bears on Sunday in their road matchup with the Detroit Lions, however. Schultz reported Moody is a practice squad addition for Chicago to add some internal competition for incumbent Cairo Santos.
Santos, 33, missed a 50-yard try in Chicago's 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday. The veteran kicker wasn't bad last season, but he missed four of his 25 tries and an early miss in 2025 was enough for Chicago to add a younger, internal backup option.
Former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, a failed NFL head coach who was fired in the middle of his first season in the league, is now a Big Ten Network and FOX analyst. He broke down Michigan freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood.

We know that it's not going to feel right. So for us we have, I don't want to say a fully angry mentality, but yeah, we're not happy with it. We intend to have a moderately pissed off approach to this game."
