A Wiltshire artist has broken into the official UK Folk Albums Chart.
Gus White secured the 26th spot with his debut album, For Now, Anyway.
The record producer and festival organiser launched a local campaign to climb the charts, handing out flyers and hosting a packed free in-store event at Marlborough's Sound Knowledge.
Expressing his gratitude, Gus said: "I am so grateful for all the folks who bought the record, and thrilled to have made it into the Official Folk Album Chart in such a grassroots way."
The independently released album was made in collaboration with Ann Liu Cannon and was exclusively sold through Sound Knowledge, benefiting both the musician and the shop.
The artist, integral in creating a thriving music scene in Wiltshire, also received support from the 'Third Wave Folk' community.
White's influence in the music scene extends beyond his own work.
He has been pivotal in bringing together and recording both local and London-based musicians in his home studio.
These artists, including Dead Pages and many others, have participated in the bustling folk clubs, open mics, and festivals White organises, solidifying the community spirit that is at the heart of his work.
