Ravens' 'energy level changes' with Lamar Jackson return

Ravens' 'energy level changes' with Lamar Jackson return

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is officially back...on the practice field three weeks after his hamstring injury.

In what is a huge piece of news, the Ravens have their quarterback in a good enough place to be able to be on the field, and while he was officially listed as limited, it was a big step for Lamar and the Ravens.

And don't think head coach John Harbaugh didn't notice the changes with No. 8 out on the field.

"I think the energy level changes," Harbaugh said. "I mean, heck yeah. Lamar's our quarterback. He's a great guy."

The next question fans want to know is if Jackson is playing on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

So, what are the chances of No. 8 suiting up?

"Yeah, it's hard to put a number on it, think it's just part of the process right now," Harbaugh added.

Such is the precarious position the Ravens find themselves in at 1-5; Jackson will need to come in and win straight away. There is no margin for error.

Is that putting too much on Jackson's plate after being out for three weeks? Possibly, but that is the current predicament Baltimore finds itself in with just one win in 2025. The time is now, and Jackson won't be afforded the chance to ease himself back in.

It's lights, camera, Jackson on Sunday.

A win and the Ravens' small hope of playoff football remains, but lose? It will be time to put a line through Baltimore's season just eight games into the year.

It is a tough spot to be in, but with the energy levels turned up with Lamar's return, maybe the results will follow.
