Thank you, Blue Jays! You united Toronto and the rest of Canada with your passion and plays. You have made Toronto so proud. Even without a World Series title, they got it all.
Perhaps the saddest part is we can't say we lost to a better team.
The Toronto baseball team lost the final two games at home to lose the World Series in seven games. Put the ball in play. They did in Games 6 and 7, hitting into game-ending double plays. The hockey Leafs, who haven't won the Cup in 58 years, won Game 6 in Florida last year only to get blown out on home ice in Game 7. Except for the Raptors NBA championship in 2019, Toronto is the city of losers.
