A classic rock band is going on tour after releasing its first new album in 21 years.
.38 Special announced the first leg of 2026 tour dates to celebrate "Milestone," the band's recently released album, and their "Fifty Year Legacy." The current lineup features frontman Don Barnes, who co-founded the group with fellow singer Donnie Van Zant in 1974.
Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, StubHub and Seat Geek. Prices vary.
No Upstate New York concerts are currently scheduled, but more shows are expected to be announced. .38 Special last played Syracuse in 2022 at the New York State Fair.
.38 Special is a classic rock band best known for '80s hits like "Caught Up in You," "Hold On Loosely," "Second Chance," "Back Where You Belong," "Fantasy Girl," "Rockin' Into the Night" and "Teacher, Teacher." They toured with big names like Bon Jovi, Huey Lewis & The News, REO Speedwagon and Lynyrd Skynyrd; Donnie Van Zant, who retired in 2013, is the brother of original Lynyrd Skynyrd singer Ronnie Van Zant and current frontman Johnny Van Zant.
In September, .38 Special released "Milestone," the band's first LP since 2004's "Drivetrain." The nine-song collection of new music includes collaborations with Randy Bachman (of Bachman-Turner Overdrive), Pat Monahan (of Train), and Survivor co-founder Jim Peterik, who produced the album and previously contributed to .38 Special songs like "Rockin' Into the Night."
