K-drama star Lee Si-young welcomed her second child through vitro fertilization (IVF) pregnancy.
The Sweet Home actress shared the heartwarming news on social media, posting a touching photo of her and the newborn baby.
"I think it's a gift from God to my mother. I will make you happy for the rest of my life. Thank you so much Professor Won Hye-seong. I will never forget that grateful heart," she wrote in Korean.
Fans and fellow celebrities filled the comments section with congratulatory messages, including actresses Oh Yoon-ah, Ki Eun-se, Park Sol-mi, and Yoon Se-ah.
Last July, Lee Si-young revealed she was pregnant through IVF that was originally planned in her late marriage.
Despite undergoing a divorce process that coincided with the nearing expiration of her five-year embryo storage period, the actress decided to move forward with the procedure.
Lee Si-young married in September 2017 and gave birth to her first child, a son, in January 2018.
In March 2025, her agency Ace Factory confirmed the couple's separation. They stated, "They are in the process of getting a divorce through mutual agreement. As it is the actress's private life, please understand that it is difficult to answer other questions besides this."
Lee Si-young first rose to fame through hit dramas like Boys Over Flowers, Playful Kiss, and the reality show We Got Married. She also made waves in international audiences with her role in the Netflix series Sweet Home (Seasons 2 and 3).
