FULTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Fulton's new $1.4 million city hall is open for business.

The new building on Wiygul Street is just down the street from the old city hall that was built in the 1940s.

Mayor Emily Quinn said, "When I was first elected, I went to the city clerk and I said, 'What are your goals for me for this term? What do you want to see?' And he said, 'I would really love to see a new city hall.'"

The new building is accessible to people with disabilities. It also features a conference room and a drive-thru window for convenience.

The city plans to hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.

The mayor invites the public to check out the new building.
