DUI driver causes wrong-way crash in Plant City: FHP

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- A Plant City woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after a near head-on collision with another car on SR-39.

The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. north of Knights Griffin Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Flor Tulia Perez Roblero, 45, was heading south in the northbound lane of SR-39 when it collided nearly head-on with a Kia Sorento. Both Roblero and the other driver, a 68-year-old woman from Zephyrhills, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Troopers said Roblero did not have a drivers license and was impaired at the time of the crash, with a breath sample reading 0.108. She was later arrested and charged with no valid license and DUI involving injury.
