Thieves Targeted Cape May County Marinas

New Jersey State Police have asked for help with information on a series of thefts from South Jersey marinas.

The State Police say the thefts of fishing equipment took place at seven or more marinas around Cape May County.

The thefts occurred between May 5th and September 22, 2025. The unknown suspects were captured on surveillance videos removing fishing equipment from multiple locations before fleeing the scenes.

There were surveillance cameras that caught photos of the suspects, but the quality of the images is not the best.

But the suspects are seen in the images, and police are hoping that these photos might be enough for you to recognize someone.

The thefts happened in the Wildwoods, Cape May, and Stone Harbor.

Here is a list of the marinas included, according to NJSP.

- Stone Harbor Marina

- Light House Point Marina, at the base of the Rio Grande Bridge, Wildwood

- Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood

- Off the Hook Bait and Tackle, at Hinch Marina in Cape May Marina

- Saltwater Outpost at Hereford Marina in North Wildwood

- Two Mile Landing Marina in Wildwood Crest

If you recognize any of these suspects or have information about this crime, contact NJSP.

If you were a victim of one of these crimes and you haven't reported it, contact NJSP
