Police search for suspect who robbed Grand Rapids bank

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Authorities are searching for a suspect who fled from a bank robbery Monday, Oct. 20, on the city's northeast side.

Grand Rapids police were called at 9:40 a.m. to Lake Michigan Credit Union, 1820 Leonard St. NE, for a report of a bank robbery.

The suspect implied having a gun during the robbery and fled prior to officers' arrival.

Police said the suspect did obtain money before fleeing. However, police did not disclose that amount.

The FBI is assisting officers in the investigation, which remains ongoing. No injuries were reported.
