How they got here: Delaware Valley defeated No. 7 West Scranton, 3-0 (25-6, 25-13, 25-12), No. 3 Hazleton Area, 3-1 (25-27, 25-13, 25-15, 25-8), and Willaimsport, 3-1 (22-25, 25-23, 26-24, 25-21). Emmaus defeated Liberty, 3-1, in the quarterfinals, Nazareth, 3-0, in the semifinals, and lost to Parkland, 3-2, in the final.

Up next: The winner of the match advances to the PIAA Class 4A quarterfinals and will play the winner of the 1-5 Upper Dublin (19-2) at 1-1 Spring-Ford (24-0) in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

Noteworthy: Delaware Valley is the District 2 champion in the highest classification for the 16th straight season. The Lady Warriors clinched the title as the top-rated team in District 2 with their win over Hazleton Area. Emmaus won a nonleague match over Hazleton Area, 3-0.

How they got here: Mountain View beat No. 4 Lackawanna Trail, 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-14) in the semifinals and beat MMI Prep, 3-0 (28-26, 25-17, 25-18) in the final. Sayre defeated Sugar Valley Rural Charter, 3-0, in the District 4 semifinals and beat No. 1 seed Canton, 3-1, in the final.

Athens defeated Shamokin, 3-1, in the semifinals and defeated top-seeded Danville, 3-0, in the District 4 championship match.
