Florian Wirtz's transfer was one of the biggest moves of the summer window.
Many expected him to be Liverpool's only signing when looking back at their previous windows, but in the end, the Reds spent over £400million.
Wirtz was expected to come in and take over the creative void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold, who chose to join Real Madrid.
And, while he managed to get an assist in the Community Shield final, that's the only direct contribution to a goal he's had this season.
This has raised questions about Wirtz, with some even wondering whether he was worth buying in the first place.
Indeed, things may have started slowly for the midfielder at Anfield, but due to the quality he showed last term, there's still plenty of hope that he can get back to his best, with Bayer Leverkusen's manager now sharing his thoughts on the situation.
After Wirtz exited Leverkusen in the summer, everything went a bit pear-shaped.
The Bundesliga outfit started off the season with Erik Ten Hag in charge, but after just a few games, he was sacked.
Former Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand is now the man in charge of the Bundesliga outfit, with the Dane now sharing his verdict on whether he thinks Wirtz will come good.
"Come on, he's only just arrived. Believe me, he'll prove it to everyone. Even the experts in England. Absolutely," he said to Bild.
"Show me the player who can deliver his best performance from day one at a new club and in a new league. That's impossible.
"Florian is a fantastic footballer with outstanding qualities. We know how fast-moving everything is in football: if he scores two great goals in the next two games, people will say, 'Now he's arrived.'
"That will be just as wrong as the recent criticism. Give him time, let him play - and everyone at Liverpool will see how good he is. I have no doubt that he will prevail."
Although Wirtz has only contributed to one goal this season, he's created several chances for his teammates.
In fact, he's actually one of the Premier League's biggest chance creators, which shows how often his teammates have let him down.
Wirtz's best role is in attacking midfield, but, since Dominik Szoboszlai plays better when given a more creative role, Arne Slot may have some tough decisions to make.
Indeed, the Hungarian has been used at right-back on more than one occasion by the Dutchman this term, but on the face of things, it's clear that Slot is wasting Szoboszlai's talents when he's deployed there.
With Liverpool's next game coming against Manchester United on Sunday, it's certainly going to be interesting to see who Slot chooses to start and bench.
