This comes after IndiGo recorded more than 2,000 flight cancellations in just five days, a situation the airline has described as a "serious operational crisis." On Saturday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a show-cause notice to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers.
Air India Benefits Announced Amid IndiGo Row
1. Guests who booked flights with either carrier between December 4 and December 15 can reschedule their bookings to a future date.
2. Rescheduling can be done without paying the applicable rescheduling fee, within the validity period of the purchased ticket.
3. Guests may also cancel their bookings and receive a full refund with no cancellation fee.
4. The one-time waiver applies to any change or cancellation made until December 8, 2025.
5. Fare differences, if any, will still apply in case of rescheduling.
6. The airlines have shared contact options for passengers who wish to reschedule or cancel their bookings.
7. Guests can use the 24x7 contact centres of either carrier or approach travel agents worldwide for assistance.

8. Air India Express passengers can also use its chatbot, Tia, available on WhatsApp at +91 63600 12345, on the website, mobile app and Facebook Messenger.
9. To manage high call volumes and reduce response times, Air India and Air India Express have deployed additional resources at their 24x7 contact centres.
