A care home in West End has celebrated the "power of music" with a music festival to honour its positive impact on people, especially on those with dementia.
Anchor Dawson Lodge hosted the music festival as part of Anchor's Year of Musical Expression, featuring performers from BENANA Music Studio.

BENANA Music Studio is a Bitterne Park music school, and students from the school performed live for the residents, their families, and friends.
Home manager, Kirsten Tennant, said: "We are committed to supporting our residents through stimulating activities that enrich their lives.
"Music plays a vital role in this, especially for those living with dementia, helping to evoke memories and foster emotional well-being."
She added: "We also cherish the opportunity to support our local community and nurture emerging talent."
She noted how the music festival was a celebration of community, creativity, and the healing power of music, whilst also providing meaningful experiences for residents.
