JOSHUA JAMES steps into the cage for a semi-final bout today at the 2025 IMMAF Pan-Americana Championship in Monterrey, Mexico, hoping to continue Trinidad and Tobago's recent successes.
James faces Luis Angel Rodriguez Dominguez of Mexico in the Men's super lightweight (74.8 kg/165 lbs) division.
Led by TTMMAF president Jason Fraser and national coach Keron Bourne, T&T's contingent also includes featherweight Damien Adams. Meanwhile, Michael Serrette has already advanced to the super heavyweight (+97 kg/215 lbs) final, awaiting the outcome between two Mexican semi-finalists.
This year marks T&T's sixth consecutive appearance at the IMMAF Pan-Americana Championship, a streak that has seen the country consistently win multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals despite fielding one of the smallest delegations in the competition.
Fights are scheduled through November 22.
