'American Pickers' coming back to Michigan in search for America's most valuable antiques

MICHIGAN -- While it's still chilly outside, stay indoors and rummage through your antiques and collectibles at home. Who knows? They could be among the extraordinary items the crew from "American Pickers" is looking to get their hands on.

Just as they did during the 2024 summer, The History Channel television series "American Pickers" is making a return to Michigan and has announced plans to film episodes of the show "throughout your area" in March 2025.

Filmed as a documentary series, "American Pickers" explores the world of antique "picking." The show follows skilled pickers in the business as they hunt for America's most valuable antiques.

"They are always excited to find historically significant or rare items, in addition to unforgettable characters and their collections," a news release from Meredith Ball, a producer with "American Pickers," said.

The television crew is looking for leads throughout the state, specifically finding interesting characters with fascinating items.

"The way we find people and collections for our show is through spreading the word far and wide so that people know we're coming to town," Ball said. "... Keep in mind, we are looking for different, unusual and unique items -- something we've never seen before with an extraordinary story."

Collectors interested in being considered for the show should reach out to "American Pickers" by calling 646-493-2184 or by emailing AmericanPickers@cineflix.com. Phone calls and emails should include the person's full name, their city/state, contact information and brief description of their collection. "American Pickers" only selects and films those with private collections and does not work with stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses or anything open to the public.

As they hit the roads from coast to coast, the Pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with amazing stories and fun items, the release said. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America's past along the way.

With more than 340 episodes on The History Channel, "American Pickers" is a Cineflix production starring Mike Wolfe, Danielle Colby, Robbie Wolfe and Jersey Jon.
