The Hearing will bring together experts to raise specific health and safety-related risks at work for workers in high-risk professions and present existing and new preventive measures to protect workers. Furthermore, the question on how to best shape a regulatory framework to successfully implement the "vision zero" approach to work-related accidents and diseases for high-risk professions will be discussed. The outcome of the Public Hearing will also contribute to an upcoming EMPL own-initiative report on "The effect of extreme temperatures in the workplace on workers' health and safety".
