Emergency crews were called to French Weir Park just after 11am today (Wednesday, December 17).
Avon and Somerset Police also attended the scene to assist the ambulance service.
Two land ambulances also attended and part of the park was temporarily cordoned off by police.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: "We were called at 11:04hrs on Wednesday 17 December to an incident in Taunton.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and an operation to the scene."
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police told SomersetLive: "This is a medical incident with officers supporting the ambulance service."
It is believed the cordon was removed from the scene by 2pm. No further information has been made public about the nature of the medical incident.
