NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A reported group home was damaged in a fire Monday morning, according to the Nashville Fire Department.
Fire crews responded to a home on Jones Avenue, not far from East Nashville Beer Works, just after 2 a.m. and saw smoke and flames coming from the home.
NFD said crews rescued one person from inside the home. That person was checked out on the scene and later transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
No other injuries were reported.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire and NFD said command was terminated at 4:40 a.m.
According to NFD, seven people are displaced after this fire. The Red Cross was called to the scene to help those impacted.
