The Golden State Warriors' 2024-25 season has come to a close.
After the Warriors' awe-inspiring point guard Stephen Curry suffered a game-changing Grade 1 hamstring strain in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals, they weren't the same ball club.
The Minnesota Timberwolves eliminated the Dubs in five contests, advancing to the third round of the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
After Golden State's season-ending 121-110 loss to the Timberwolves on Wednesday night, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made a significant announcement about Curry to the media.
"I know we had a shot, (with a healthy Curry)" Kerr told reporters. "I know we could've gone the distance. Maybe we wouldn't have, but it doesn't matter. Again, everything in the playoffs is about who stays healthy and who gets hot."
Many people don't love playing the 'what if' game when valuable assets suffer unfortunate setbacks. Still, it's worth noting that the Warriors' offense had an uncertain feel when Curry wasn't on the hardwood.

As the franchise's No. 1 scoring option, Curry runs the show nightly. From drawing multiple defenders with his low-to-the-ground ball handling before finding open teammates to taking matters into his own hands when necessary, Curry thrives despite being an aging superstar.
Although Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga had their moments, they failed to compensate for the loss of their four-time NBA champion teammate.
Now that the Dubs' offseason has begun, the organization must upgrade its mediocre roster in free agency and keep its championship window open with Curry.
