"Always racism for him," "Stupidest thing ever": NFL fans rip Ryan Clark for accusing Uber drivers of musically profiling ex-Steelers star

ESPN analyst Ryan Clark grabbed headlines on Friday when he accused Uber drivers of "musically profiling" him. In a video he shared on X, Clark claimed that drivers turn on rap songs from the likes of "50 Cent" and "Tupac" when he gets in their cars, while suggesting that it was stereotypical, and that he wants it to stop.

However, when fans caught wind of Clark's comments about being musically profiled, they slammed the former Pittsburgh Steelers safety.

"He would cry racism if they played no music or if they didn't change the channel to a different song. It's always racism for him," one tweeted.

"Ryan Clark is running out of ways to race hustle," another added.

"This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. So pick me. C'mon fella nobody's 'musically profiling you,'" a third commented.

"This dude is becoming insufferable just complaining to complain!" a user tweeted.

Ryan Clark played in the NFL for 13 seasons from 2002 to 2014. He was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent, and played with them for two seasons.

Clark had two stints with the then-Washington Redskins. He also won the Super Bowl with the Steelers in 2009.

Following his retirement, Clark has transitioned into an analyst.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold led his team to an important 38-37 win in overtime against the LA Rams in Week 16 on Thursday. During a segment on ESPN's "First Take on Friday, Ryan Clark was asked if Darnold was able to silence his critics.

"No, if anything, Sam Darnold's critics are louder, but he might have silenced the critics in his head," Ryan Clark said. "And here's why ... If I'm with the Rams, I'm saying to myself, 'Every time we play him, we got it.' He got lucky towards the end. "If I'm the Vikings, when I see him again, 'We got him. We know what it is.' If I'm the Colts, 'We got him. We know what it is.

"But for Sam Darnold to start that game the way he started that game, ... to do what he was doing last night and find a way to win, that builds confidence in Sam Darnold. That builds confidence in the Seattle Seahawks. But absolutely, every team walking in isn't going to watch the end of that film, but they're going to watch those first three quarters and say, 'This is what we have to do to rattle him.'"

Darnold went 22 of 34 for 270 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions against the Rams. The Seahawks are now in pole positon to win the NFC West.
