The annual Down County Dinner was held at a packed Canal Court Hotel on Saturday night. Saval were awarded the 'Club of the Year' having secured a new pitch and won the Intermediate Football Championship.
The night was capped with the naming of the latest inductee into the Down GAA Hall of Fame. The man recognised for his outstanding contribution was Kevin Mussen.
Captain of Down's All-Ireland winners of 1960, the first man to bring the Sam Maguire Cup north of the border, Kevin Mussen forever holds a special place in the annals of Gaelic Games within Down, and he now, deservedly, takes his place among the list of Hall of Famers.
