HOUSTON, Texas (TNND) -- With it being the largest event Vice President Kamala Harris has held since running for president, Harris rallied with hundreds of supporters and the likes of Willie Nelson and Beyoncè Knowles-Carter at her rally in Houston, Texas on Friday night.
While it was rumored that Beyoncè would attend this rally, it still sent the stadium into a craze as she walked onto the stage with Kelly Rowland, her former group mate from Destiny's Child.
Throughout Harris' campaign, she has used Beyoncè's song "Freedom" as her walkout song and overall anthem of her campaign for president.
Beyoncè did not perform at this rally, unlike Willie Nelson who took the stage earlier in the night and sang "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys" and "On the Road Again."
After taking the stage, Beyoncé said that she was not there as either an entertainer or politician, but rather as a mother.
"Imagine our daughters growing up, seeing what's possible, with no ceilings, no limitations," she said, "my children and all of our children, we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we're not divided."
She introduced Harris, saying "It's time for America to sing a new song. Our voices sing a chorus of unity. They sing a song of dignity and opportunity. Are y'all ready to add your voice to the new American song?"
The main focus of this rally was on reproductive rights, something that Harris has emphasized throughout her presidential campaign.
Former President Donald Trump was also in Texas on Friday, where he recorded a three-hour-longpodcast episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience", covering a range of topics.
After recording, Trump headed to his rally in Traverse City, Michigan where he mentioned in his speech Harris "having a dance party with Beyoncè".
Earlier in October, Harris recorded a podcast episode on "Call Her Daddy", talking about reproductive rights and abortion access.
As the election grows closer, both parties are pushing voters to cast their ballots earlyas both campaigns are wrapping up.
