A new social housing project in Siġġiewi has been completed, providing five modern residential units for five families, the government said. The development also includes an underground garage equipped with a lift, ensuring easy access to each floor and greater convenience for residents.
Implemented by Housing Projects Solutions Ltd (HPS) in collaboration with the Housing Authority, the project covered all stages of construction - from rock excavation and installation to final finishing - meeting high standards of quality, safety and accessibility.
With an investment of around €900,000, the project features modern amenities including electrical systems, internal and external finishing, paving, plastering, waterproofing and fitted apertures. These works aim to offer families a safe and comfortable living environment.
Minister for Social and Affordable Housing Roderick Galdes, who visited the site, said the project "not only offers a safe and decent residence to five families, but is also clear evidence of the Government's commitment to providing affordable and inclusive housing in Malta."
He added that such initiatives make a tangible difference in people's lives, reaffirming the Government's intention to continue investing in high-quality residences that support communities and improve living standards across Malta and Gozo.
