The No. 3-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers women's hockey team finished off a weekend sweep of WCHA opponent Bemidji State with a 4-1 road win on Saturday.
The win puts Minnesota's record at 8-3-1 and 4-3-1 in WCHA play this season. Meanwhile, Bemidji State drops to 1-10-1 and 0-8-0 in conference play.
Three of the four goals for the Gophers came via the power play and all four came in the first period at the Sanford Center in Bemidji.

The goals came off 16 shots. Abbey Murphy put the Gophers on the board first halfway through the period, thanks to an assist by Ella Huber on a power play. The assist marked the 100th point of Huber's collegiate career.
Natalie Mlynkova - who scored two goals in Friday night's win - added a third goal of the weekend, as she scored on a power play with 6:25 left in the period.
The score was assisted by Sydney Morrow and Audrey Wethington. It was Mlynkova's second power play goal of the weekend and fourth goal in the last five games.
The Gophers expanded their lead to 3-0 thanks to a goal from Emma Kreisz, assisted by Ayla Puppe.
Just over a minute later, Murphy scored her second power play goal of the game, assisted by Huber and Josefin Bouveng to bring the game to 4-0.
Bemidji State got their only goal of the game in the third period as the Gophers outshot the Beavers 34-10 for the entire game.
"Obviously a great first period," said head coach Brad Frost. "Going three for four on the power play, and getting four right away to really put the hammer down. It was great to see, from a defensive standpoint, we played really, really well, giving up 10 shots, not allowing anything there in the third. Credit Bemidji, they tightened up defensively after that first period, but I'm really proud of how we played here tonight."
The Gophers next play on Nov. 15 and 16 against the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs on the road.
